For those of you who have already snagged tickets to the Mumford and Sons show at Portland’s Eastern Promenade, make sure you stop by the Space Gallery's website as well and get your tickets to the super-hip after party DJ'd by none other than Mumford and Sons Ben Lovett (as well as a few other unnamed "special guests"). Tickets are $5 and it is definitely an 18+ show. Doors open at 8 pm and space may be limited. 

If the Space Gallery isn't exactly your cup of tea, make sure you check out a few of the other official after parties as well, including:

• The Big Easy, 55 Market St., Portland, featuring “Stopover” emcee Reggie Watts and local reggae band Royal Hammer
• Empire Dine and Dance, 575 Congress St., Portland, with Massachusetts band Miss Fairchild (funk). $5.
• Port City Music Hall, 504 Congress St., featuring Aaron Embry and Tan Vampires. $10 to $20.
• State Theatre, 609 Congress St., Portland, featuring Dropkick Murphys and The Parkington Sisters, at 10:30 p.m. $20 in advance, $25 day of the show.

According to the BullMoose.com website, Mumford and Sons will be playing a small show at the Scarborough Bull Moose music store in Scarborough, Maine at 1 PM on Friday, August 3rd. Tickets for this show seem to be gone already but you can always keep your eyes peeled for "extra" ones before you get in!

Mumford and Sons Announce New Album "Babel"

Oooh, according to AZCentral, Mumford and Sons is releasing a new album titled "Babel" sometime in September. According to Mr. Marcus Mumford, it sounds as if it is going to be much more complex than their first album "Sigh No More".

If anyone is interested in hearing some of these new songs a little bit early, bassist Ted Dwane has made it clear that many of the songs from Babel will be part of the Mumford and Sons set list for the upcoming Mumford and Sons 2012 tour.
